The largest professional group in healthcare, carers of Individual Healthcare (IG), often experience a marginalised position: they do not feel seen, heard and recognised. This has emerged from research by the VU University Amsterdam, carried out with a subsidy from the Ministry of Health, the results of which were presented to the Ministry on 15 November. The research report contains recommendations for personal healthcare assistants, care organisations, policy makers and MBO schools.
