Endowed professor in Social Inequality and Informal Care, researcher
There are many people in the Netherlands who give help to a sick loved one. These people are also called informal carers. The pressure on informal carers is increasing, among other things due to demographic developments. I am conducting research into who these informal carers are, how burdened they are by the help they give, what support they receive and which groups among them are in need of specific support.
