Assistant professor
Carers of Individual Healthcare (IG), are the largest professional group in nursing home care and district nursing. Despite their large number and indispensable role in the provision of care, this group is hardly represented in committees and representative bodies in care organisations. I am conducting research into why this is the case and, above all, into how the positioning of this professional group can change so that their voice is heard and their unique knowledge and skills optimally utilised. I focus on the professional identity of the profession itself, the organisation of care in care organisations and the education of student carers in MBO education and care practice.
