Research topics
In various lines of research, I connect scientific knowledge about conflict, (crisis) negotiation and decision-making with the healthcare context. Having an eye for the various interests and perspectives of different players plays a central role in this.
I supervise PhD research into open communication after incidents in healthcare (PhD Jurian van der Ree) and the learning organisation within the nursing home sector (PhD Clariska van Biessum). Previously, I conducted research into annoying bystanders and interventions for ambulance teams.
