Research topics

Although cooperation within multidisciplinary care teams is nowadays seen as crucial for the quality of care of people with complex care needs, it is usually not easy. There are obstacles such as restrictive legislation, funding streams and administrative requirements to overcome. It also requires time and attention from the healthcare professionals in those teams to overcome mutual professional differences in, for example, knowledge, experience and perspective on care. I am conducting ethnographic research into how care professionals within the GGZ do this and how this influences their process of interprofessional cooperation.
