The target groups of these sectors are vulnerable at the time of this pandemic for different reasons. Due to differences in vulnerability, risks and priorities, there are variations in the way coronas measures are designed and implemented in practice. There are also differences in the unexpected consequences of the measures.

The researchers in the HERoS consortium come from humanitarian logistics and supply chain management (Hanken), epidemiological modelling and policy design (TUDelft), crisis management (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) machine learning and information sciences (Open University), public health services (Nordic Healthcare Group) to space research and geo-information (Centre Badań Kosmicznych Polskiej Akademii Nauk), to UAV development (Squadron), health emergency response (Polskie Centrum Pomocy Międzynarodowej, Croce Rossa Italiana, Project HOPE) and project management (ARTTIC).
