On Friday 12 November 2021, the SIM-Lab organized a one-day workshop “Visuals in Science Communication”. The event was well-attended by researchers from the various departments of our Faculty of Social Sciences as well as some external stakeholders in the field of ecology and science illustrations. Five guest speakers presented their work on visual narratives, comics, storytelling and graphic design, and invited the audience to participate in an interactive part on the set-up of visualizing their own research. From the feedback we received, we took that the event was a big success and there is a demand for a sequel on particularly visualizing one’s own research.
